The impact of myelofibrosis misdiagnosis on patient outcomes can be serious. In this M.D. Anderson study, presented at ASCO in Chicago last month, those implications were analyzed. The original pathology reports of 560 patients, diagnosed with myelofibrosis on referral to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in the 2007-2011 were reviewed.
